Sinking Strike: Heru heats his throwing needles until red-hot with fire magic, and without having to worry about precision, he throws the needles at his enemy, where they sink into flesh much easier due to their enchantment. Subsequently, the needles cauterize the wounds around them, causing the needles to remain embedded unless quite forcefully pulled out or cut out.
Unbalance: A supportive wind enchantment cast on enemies. Heru directs wind magic at the enemies feet, causing them to levitate off the floor when moving, causing unstable landings and enemies to become unbalanced. Meant to disorient and lower their speed. However, those with high wind defense are not affected.
Water Net: Can reduce damage allies take with a barrier of water in front of the target, or reduce blows taken if falling/flying through the air.
Updraft: Using both wind and fire magic, if a flying self or ally needs a boost in height or gliding time, Heru can create a warm updraft of air to help continue the target's flight path, distance, or time.
Personality: Heru is a very spiritually religious man, but makes no attempt to force his beliefs on others. He knows that the beliefs he grew up with are not popular among the mass populace, but he doesn't discourage other religions or beliefs.
Heru was never talkative much, though, even in his own language, and he finds common speech difficult, but he's trying to get the hang of it now that he's out and about away from the clan. He's mildly xenophobic -- ie he isn't comfortable with multi-racial relationships, and won't consider being with anyone than a hawk-hybrid. However he does not think that any one race is better than the other, and also believes that even if he doesn't like it, it's none of his business. If anyone outside of the hawk/bird hybrid genus attempts to marry into the clan, it's a very vigorous process of proving worthiness and willing to adapt to their ways, much like romani people in real life. Most of these unions in his society are still frowned upon, especially heavily in the older clan members.
Polite, if not a little blunt, he attempts to treat all people kindly and with respect. He likes listening to people's tales of their lives and adventures, as it makes him feel closer to people. This is especially easy when he is tattooing customers.
History: Heru originates from the Harmonia continent -- continent of hybrids. Despite the fact it's so technologically driven, his family and clan tries to stick to traditional routes, learning the ways of the planet, very homeopathic and tribal. His clan is composed entirely of hawk-hybrids, though there are sparse other members who were integrated into the clan that are other types of bird-hybrids. Their mini-society resembles that of Romani people, very central and don't include many outsiders to their family, however their culture, music, religion, etc is similar to Native American. Their religious beliefs and entire way of society is driven by spritual divination and being one with the planet, respecting the land, the air, and water.
They all speak the romani language, however the younger one's have adapted to society and begun learning multiple languages to be able to travel and trade. More and more of the younger ones leave the clan to explore for several years, but end up coming back to settle into the clan with permanent families there. Heru was one of the few people in his generation to stay outside the clan and establish themselves elsewhere, either joining divisions to fight the Council of Echoes, or explore other paths in life.
Heru's tattoo is a rite of passage, part of his coming of age ceremony when, to prove he became a man at the age of 15. The feathers outstretching on his tattoo on his chest represent his clan and many other bird-hybrids, and how they are all the same and one, despite being numerous and different, and to remember they are all brothers/sisters from the same place. Details of how he earned it are unknown yet. The feathers in his hair piece, earring, and on his arm band are from his mother, father, and sister, and symbolize their wings that give him strength away from home. It represents them being guardians to him while he is away from home.
After leaving home, he went to join the Diminiuendo division with the magical abilities passed down from his mother, who is the head of her family. By doing so, he is hoping to be a part of a grand adventure and tale to one day tell to his children and grandchildren, since storytelling is important in his clan. The grander the story, the better, and the folks in his clan would hold competitions for storytelling among themselves. Around the same time he left home to join Diminuendo, Heru happened upon an older blind woman who was playing cello in the streets. Back in his home tribeland, members who played any sort of instruments were far few and between, so he hadn't had much of a musical inkling until meeting her. He immediately became enchanted with the instrument, and pleaded for her to teach him. It was a difficult process for him, however after two years of being taught by her, he can now play the cello. The first thing he did with the money he earned after opening his tattoo parlor was buy a cello for himself, which is on display in his shop. While customers browse catalogs of art, symbols, and patterns for tattoo ideas, he plays music for them. He will also play to help customers relax and and even meditate with him, especially for customers nervous or tense before receiving tattoos.

- Heru may be mildly xenophobic, but he is not prejudiced. If fights break out on the subject, he is quick to defend anyone involved.
- He becomes embarrassed about his wings on occassion since they are so large, that occassionally he gets stuck in doorways and halls due to their width
- He hates stifling or tight clothing, and he hates covering his tattoo -- it is a symbol of pride for him and considers it disrespectful to cover it
- Many customers ask for his feathers when they molt, especially in spring, but he outright refuses. They are given only as protective charms to people important to the giver.
- His first name "Heru" originates from the egyptian mythology. The name comes from the son of the God Isis. "Kohana" however comes from the Sioux tribe name, which means "swift"
- Heru is currently working on researching a way to create a weapon for himself from his cello. He notes that the divisions require heavily upon weapons that are made from their personal instruments, however because of the bulk of his cello, he's having difficulty.
- On that note, he also finds it tedious to have to hand-craft a replenish of needles every time he goes off to fight. Another reason he's saving money to commission someone to craft him a weapon of some sort from his cello.
